BW Industries are pleased to announce their association with McDonalds and Elliott Off-Site Building Systems for the provision of fully assembled steel modules for the 2012 programme of single storey McDonalds restaurants.
BW are in an ideal position to supply these buildings due to their wide range of cold rolled galvanised steel sections and the extensive fabrication facilities at the BW factory facility at Carnaby, near Bridlington in East Yorkshire.
Each of the 8 main modules required for the restaurant buildings comprises floor and roof beams, and hot rolled end frames including temporary columns.
BW’s contract is to manufacture all components, assemble into individual frames, and then construct each module into a full cube. Once the modules are ready lined and levelled, Elliott’s work can begin to fit out each module with the restaurant’s kitchen, crew, and customer facilities.
On factory completion, the modules are then transported individually to the intended site location within the UK, and connected together into one whole restaurant building.
The BW Elliotts/McDonalds restaurant project is progressing through to the design and build of a 2-storey restaurant model, together with a programme of value engineering of the existing designs.
