Mezzanine Floor Sections

Mezzanine Floor Sections

Mezzanine floor beams are generally used as secondary beams supporting decking.  These secondary beams are normally then supported on hot rolled steel primary beams.

However, due to the large section sizes available BW Industries mezzanine floor beams may in many cases be used in back to back configuration as primary beams.

BW Industries range of mezzanine floor beams are lipped cee section profiles. They are light gauge cold-formed pre galvanized steel sheet with a Z275 coating.

Galvanized Steel Sheet

Standard sections range in depth from 125mm to 350mm for a range of gauges from 1.3mm to 3mm. The stated gauges are core steel thickness plus the standard (Z275) zinc coating thickness of 0.04mm. The galvanized steel sheet sections are fabricated from grade S450 steel with a minimum yield strength of 450N/mm². BW Industries also produce a range of larger sections up to depths of 500mm and gauge up to 6mm which can be used to form the primary steel beams for mezzanine floors.
