For monopitch and other roofs where restraint to the ridge purlin cannot be given by apex ties, some equivalent anchor must be used.
This may take the form of a simple tie to a substantial ridge beam or alternatively by a combination of struts and diagonal bracing between the topmost lines of purlins.

Detail illustrating typical layout to facilitate a tiled roof with enhanced restraint methods to allow for higher load factors. It is important that the unrestrained purlin length is kept to 2.000M max and rigid apex ties are utilised.
